In 2014, I moved to Edmond, Oklahoma from Upstate New York. At first, you might be wondering, "What's so special about Oklahoma?"
And I used to think the same too. But after spending over 6 years here, I've come to realize that Edmond is an absolutely wonderful town! And I am going to be telling you why you should visit this town.
Edmond is family-friendly!
Edmond is arguably the most family-friendly town in the state of Oklahoma. I mean sure, you can go visit a bar, but there are so many things to do with your family.
For example, you can go east on Historic Route 66 and go to Pops on Route 66 for a refreshing drink and an awesome view of a 50-foot-tall soda bottle.
You have endless options when it comes to entertainment with your family. If you are more of a city type, visit downtown, Edmond. There are a bunch of activities, including a museum, parks, or even just going for a walk.
No matter what your style is, Edmond is perfect for a day of relaxation and fun.
There are a lot of parks
If you are in Edmond, and there isn't a park within 2 miles of you, you're in the wrong place.
Edmond has a lot of parks where you can spend the day in relaxation. The parks have trails that range from 2 miles to even 6 miles and more.
Some of my favorite trails are Mitch Park, which is 2.6 miles round trip, and Spring Creek Park, which is 2 miles each way. They are fun trails where you can go for a walk, or bike along.
Wherever you choose to go, Edmond has a vast variety of options for some good outdoor fun!
The sunsets are magnificent
No matter what season it is, sunsets never fail to impress. They give you the best views, and since Oklahoma is not very hilly, you get a panoramic experience of the sky at dawn.
Sunsets here are a dream for every photographer and even someone who wants to enjoy the beautiful view!
No matter where you are from, Edmond is an awesome place to visit. So when you want to plan a trip, make sure to check out Edmond!
